Artist Profile: Robert McGuigan

    Art has been of interest to Robert since he was a kid.  Since then, it’s been in and out of his life several times.

     "I ended up wandering around the country, in lieu of cracking up," he says.  "I found myself in Stillwater Oklahoma auditing Drawing 101 at Oklahoma State."

     He got back in the zone and spent a few hours weekly creating on campus.  He married and travelled with his art once again on hold, until he shared some of what he’d learned about art with his three children. 

     Robert’s travels took him from Oklahoma to Rochester to the San Francisco Bay Area, back to New Jersey, then finally to Barryville, where he’s been working hard to capture the natural beauty of the area.
